Panathinaikos has hired a Spanish law firm and sent a letter to the EuroLeague today, asking either the payment of 681.000 euros – and not 670.000 as it was initially reported – which are retained by the revenues distribution.
According to the letter, there’s a deadline of 72 hours for EuroLeague in order to pay, or contact the legal firm and start talks about the payment. If not, then Panathinaikos will start the legal actions in order to get paid.
Meanwhile, the president of Panathinaikos and former team manager, Manos Papadopoulos, was informed verbally by EuroLeague official that he is not eligible to sit on the bench of the team anymore.
