Utah Jazz forward/center and 2017 EuroLeague champion plus Final Four MVP Ekpe Udoh might be present in the upcoming Final Four (18-20 May) held in Belgrade, where his former team Fenerbahce will compete to defend its title.
“I have a couple of trips planned. Hopefully, I’ll get to go to Nigeria in August. Might attend the Final Four coming in Belgrade next week,” Udoh said during Wednesday’s (9/5) Jazz 2018 exit interviews.
Almost 12 months ago, Udoh was named Final Four MVP, after leading Fenerbahce to the EuroLeague title, the first continental trophy in the history of the franchise and Turkish basketball. The 30-year-old big guy averaged 14 points, 10.5 rebounds, six assists and 3.5 blocks for a stunning number of 32.5 in PIR (Performance Index Rating) in the Semifinal and Final games vs. Real Madrid and Olympiacos Piraeus respectively.
Udoh has been one of the biggest fan favorites among Fenerbahce supporters who are expected to compile the bulk of Final Four spectators that will be gathered in Stark Arena, Belgrade.
In the two previous season, Udoh also received All-EuroLeague First Team honors in 2017 and All-EuroLeague Second Team honors in 2016. He was widely considered among the elite defenders in Europe during his stint with the Turkish team.
Last summer Udoh capitalized on his performances with Fenerbahce with a contract with the Utah Jazz and a return to the NBA.
