BELGRADE – CSKA Moscow not only lost to Real Madrid in the semifinal but also could not get past Zalgiris Kaunas in the third-place game.
Eurohoops talked to Nando De Colo after the game and he admitted that the Final Four ended for CSKA Moscow in the semifinal.
“We lost to Madrid. The season was already over. If you lost in the semifinal or the final, then the season is over. It was a tough weekend for us, it was really tough to play the game tonight. The Final Four is totally different. It’s important to play well during the regular season, but the playoffs and the Final Four are totally different.”
He also made a comment on CSKA’s budget: “If you gain money that means you deserve it. You have to get better and do what’s best for your team. We are professionals. The Final Four is one game and we need to be ready for this game.”
