The Orlando Magic forward Mario Hezonja shared a tweet praising Real Madrid, the new Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion, especially complimenting them on a job well done with the development of younger players while still managing to be in the top of the elite competition year after year:
“Madrid is such a healthy environment and the absolute powerhouse in the last couple of years. Maintaining the same core and still developing young guys that paid everything back to them with the trophy. Great lesson, congratulations and much respect!!”
Before the start of his NBA career with Orlando in 2015, the 23-year-old Croatian spent three seasons (2012-2105) in Barcelona Lassa, perhaps Madrid’s biggest rival. In his last season (2014/15) with the Spanish club, Hezonja played 22 games in EuroLeague averaging 7.7 points, two rebounds and one assist.
