After capping off a phenomenal year with Zalgiris Kaunas in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and finishing third in Belgrade’s Final Four, the questions keep on coming for Sarunas Jasikevicius and his future.
At just 42 years of age, Jasikevicius is one of the best head coaches in Europe. As Lithuanian reporter Donatas Urbonas reported, Jasikevicius said the following about his future and the summer-decision:
“I don’t feel any pressure from Zalgiris‘ front office. Inside the office, we play with more than open cards. When the time comes, I will make the decision.”
As Urbonas says, the latest info shows that Zalgiris’ coach will remain with Kaunas’ team next season, but as of now, the future remains uncertain.
