Gran Canaria will proceed into the next season without head coach Luis Casimiro, the club officially announced.
A few days ago, Gran Canaria sports director Berdi Perez hinted that the team wants to continue with Casimiro. However, that won’t be the case since the two sides won’t continue together.
Casimiro led Gran Canaria to the 2018 Spanish League semifinals and subsequently to next season’s EuroLeague for the first time in the history of the club. The season was considered a success by club officials despite the sweep to EuroLeague champions Real Madrid in the semis.

Gracias por el trabajo diario, el compromiso, y por los brillantes dos cursos que nos has dado. ¡Suerte en lo próximo! ? pic.twitter.com/vd3xTITxko
