Maccabi Tel Aviv signed American guard and Basketball Champions League standout Kendrick Ray, the club officially announced. It’s the first addition for the newly crowned Israeli League champions ahead of the new season.
Ray completed the season in the Czech Republic with Nymburk, averaging 15.3 points and 4.8 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League, helping the club reach the quarterfinals. In the Czech League, Ray won season MVP honors after averaging 13.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
Since Maccabi has announced the creation of two different rosters, one for EuroLeague and another for domestic competitions, it’s currently unknown for which squad Ray was acquired.
