Panathinaikos officially announced the return of Gabonese center Stephane Lasme to the team with a two-year (1+1) deal. Lasme is back with the Greens following a previous stint in 2012-2014 as Eurohoops revealed last night.
Lasme, 35, rejoins Panathinaikos after declining several offers by clubs such as Anadolu Efes, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and Unics Kazan, with which he played during the previous season.
With Unics, Lasme had possibly one of the most productive seasons of his career, notching 14.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in an average of 28:11 minutes over 19 EuroCup games.
Back in 2012-2014, Lasme had won the back-to-back Greek “Double” achievement (League and Cup titles) with Panathinaikos.
