Anadolu Efes announced via its social media that the club is thanking Errick McCollum for his services and that they are parting ways with him. McCollum’s contract included an opt-out clause, however considering his performance, few people expected that he will leave Istanbul.
The older brother of Portland’s CJ McCollum averaged 14,6 ppg in the EuroLeague and he was the main scoring option of his team. Still, that was not enough for new coach Ergin Ataman.
McCollum has spent two and a half seasons in Turkey, winning the EuroCup title back in 2016 as a member of Galatasaray.
