The contract of Jamel McLean with Olympiacos includes an option that can be picked up until the 30th of June if the Greek club wants to keep the player for next season.
However, after the signing of coach David Blatt, changes are coming in the roster and McLean will not be part of the new project. Olympiacos will not pick up the extension option and McLean will be released with a small buy out.
Like it happened with many members of the team during last season, McLean had many ups and downs and the lack of consistency in his performance is the reason behind this decision.
