Coming off two very bad seasons, FC Barcelona Lassa wants to come back this off-season, in order to build a roster that will make the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague playoffs next season.
The Spanish team has shown interest in a variety of players this off-season and according to Eurohoops sources, has made an offer to Sonny Weems for a two-year deal (1+1) that includes an ‘opt-out’. The former NBAer is seriously considering Barca’s offer and is also looking for his alternative options that may include the NBA, China, or another EuroLeague team.
The 32-year old finished last season with Anadolu Efes, averaging 15.5 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game.
Barcelona is looking to find ways to improve, and as of right now, Adam Hanga is the only small-forward available for the Spanish team. In late June, Barcelona parted ways with Sasha Vezenkov, Petteri Koponen, and Moussa Diagne.
