Darussafaka Istanbul is in advanced talks and nearing a deal with American forward/center Richard Howell, according to Eurohoops sources.
The two sides are negotiating a 1+1 agreement that will bring Howell to Istanbul and EuroLeague for the first time in the player’s career.
Howell, 27, has spent most of his playing years in Israel. Last season he was a player of Hapoel Jerusalem, averaging 11.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.7 steals in EuroCup. In Israeli League, Howell had 1o.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2 assists in the regular season plus 14.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in the playoffs.
Since 2017, Howell has also been a member of the Israeli national team as the squad’s naturalized player.
