Fenerbahce announced that the club signed forward/center Joffrey Lauvergne with a contract until the end of the 2019-2020 season. The 26-year-old French player is back in EuroLeague for the first time since 2014.
Lauvergne last played with the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA. He had 4.1 points and 3.1 rebounds averaging 9.7 minutes in 56 games during 2017-2018. It was the fourth season in an NBA run that also included stints with the Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma Thunder, and the Chicago Bulls.
In Europe, Lauvergne has also played for such teams as Valencia, Khimki Moscow and Partizan Belgrade, with which he made his career breakout back in 2012-2014. In Fenerbahce, he joins another former Partizan player, center Jan Vesely.
