Mike James is currently a free agent and although he has gotten the interest from other teams, James has been willing to stay with Panathinaikos but it seems the club won’t be offering a good enough deal in his opinion.
James has had a reputation of being open and truthful with his fans on Twitter answering any question he can. Through those answers, he let the public know that he hasn’t been pleased with the negotiations so far.
However, in order to not be misinterpreted, he addressed the situation with a post on his Twitter account, explaining that he has a very positive opinion about PAO and its owner but he believes they can’t afford him at the moment:
“I feel like I need to say something. In no way am I talking bad about Panathinaikos or DPG (Dimitrios Pavlos Giannakopoulos). I was just answering questions. To be honest I think they didn’t offer me because they know my worth and simply can’t afford me and Nick (Calathes). I had a great relationship with the club and I love them.”, James explained.
