Anadolu Efes has begun negotiations with American swingman James Anderson, according to Eurohoops sources. The player signed a two-year deal with Khimki Moscow in 2017 but the two sides are working towards reaching a mutual agreement to terminate the contract.
During the previous season, Anderson averaged 9.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 21:45 minutes per game in 31 EuroLeague matches, as Khimki reached the playoffs for the first time in the history of the club. In VTB League, the 29-year-old guard/forward posted 9 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, helping his team make it to the Final and thus gain a ticket for the 2018-2019 EuroLeague.
Anderson previously played in Turkey under David Blatt with Darussafaka Istanbul in 2016-2017.
Efes has been extremely busy during the transfer season, having signed five (Rodrigue Beaubois, Vasilije Micic, Sertac Sanli, Bugrahan Tuncer and Metecan Birsen) new players so far.
