Barcelona is close to renewing the contract of Spanish guard Pau Ribas, according to AS.
Ribas is the next player on the list of contract extensions for Barcelona following Croatian veteran center Ante Tomic. He is expected to stay with the Blaugrana for the next two seasons.
With Ribas and French guard Thomas Heurtel on board for the next season plus Canadian All-EuroLeague selection Kevin Pangos en route to signing with the team, Barcelona so far has three guards on the 2018-2019. The status of captain Juan Carlos Navarro with the team remains questionable.
In 2017-2018, his third season with Barcelona, Ribas averaged 6.7 points and 3 assists during 16 minutes per game over 30 EuroLeague matches.
