James Anderson officially joined Turkish club Anadolu Efes. As previously reported by Eurohoops, the American swingman agreed to a two-year deal that includes a team opt-out clause for 2019.
In 2017-2018, Anderson played for Russian side Khimki Moscow. He put up 9.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists averaging 21:45 minutes per game and helped Khimki advance to the playoffs of the competition, a first-time accomplishment for the club.
By signing with Efes, Anderson returns to the Turkish league where previously played with Darussafaka Istanbul, under David Blatt. His prior EuroLeague experience also includes a stint with Zalgiris Kaunas in 2014-2015.
The addition of Anderson is Efes’ fifth this summer, following the signings of guard Rodrigue Beaubois, guard Vasilije Micic, center Sertac Sanli, guard Bugrahan Tuncer and forward Metecan Birsen.
