Mike James and AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan have agreed on a three-year deal, and on Friday the team made the signing official with a ‘welcome’ video on Twitter, confirming Eurohoops sources.
With James’ addition to Olimpia, Milan’s team is focusing on the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague competition and a possible ‘top-8’ finish. The 27-year old guard will be one of the team’s leaders in the upcoming years, as he can pretty much do everything on the offensive side of the court.
The 2017-2018 season was a unique one for James. He started in the NBA, playing for the Phoenix Suns while averaging 10.4 points and 3.8 assists per game. Moreover, he got traded to New Orleans, played in only four games and eventually decided to come back to Europe and play for Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens, where he was crowned back-to-back champion in the Greek League.
In the 2017-2018 EuroLeague season, Mike James put up 16.2 points, 4.1 assists and 2.8 rebounds per contest.
