Olympiacos Piraeus has agreed on a deal with Sasha Vezenkov and his former teammate at Barcelona, Thomas Huertel talked with Eurohoops about this transfer.
“He (Vezenkov) is a very talented player. He can play as a small forward and a power forward, he is a really great shooter, when he is open he will make the shot. He understands and has a great feel for the game of basketball. He is a good guy, a good teammate and I am very happy for him for his move to Olympiacos. I know he loves Greece, and is always positive.”
In addition, Huertel talked about Vezenkov as the future Printezis for Olympiacos: “He had a tough season last year, but I think he can help Olympiacos and evolve into a new Printezis for Olympiacos in a few years. He has the left-right floater, he is a good shooter (maybe Printezis is stronger than him), but Sasha is still young. He can run the court and even if he is not so athletic, he is a fighter and is not scared to have responsibility. I think with a good roster and chemistry, the results will be good.”
