Bayern Munich is in talks with Finnish Petteri Koponen, according to Eurohoops sources. The player has been a free agent since he parted ways with Barcelona earlier this summer.
Koponen, 30, averaged 7.9 points (shooting with 51% from behind the arc), 1.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists over 20 minutes per game in the 2017-2018 EuroLeague, in his second season with Barcelona. He previously played for Khimki Moscow (winning the 2015 EuroCup title) and Virtus Bologna, among others.
Bayern is EuroLeague-bound for the next three years (after winning the 2018 German League and receiving an associate wild card by EuroLeague for 2019-2021). If Koponen reaches a deal with the German club, he will continue playing in the top-tier continental competition.
