Baskonia announced that the club parted ways with Latvian forward Janis Timma. The player signed a contract with Olympiacos Piraeus.
Timma was under a two-year deal with Baskonia but the club wanted to dump his contract (over 1M for 2018-2019). An agreement was reached with Olympiacos and the 26-year-old player will continue his career in Greece.
In 2017-2018, his debut season in both EuroLeague and ACB, Timma had 7.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists, averaging 22 minutes per game in 33 EuroLeague matches, plus 7.8 points and 3 rebounds over 22 minutes per game in ACB, during 2017-2018.
