Despite Barcelona’s interest, it seems that Baskonia is the front-runner to sign James Nunnally, according to local newspaper “Noticias De Alava“.
The free agent of Fenerbahce is presented to have advanced negotiations with the Spanish club for a two-year contract.
Nunnally was aiming for an NBA return and had private workouts in the States. If he signs with Baskonia, he will be the star of the team and he will have a much prominent role compared to his two seasons with Fenerbahce.
Nunnally turned heads around Europe as the leader of Italian club Avellino back in the 2015-16 season, when he was also named the MVP of the Italian league. As a member of Fenerbahce, he won the 2017 EuroLeague and also two Turkish BSL championship titles.
