Buducnost announced that head coach Aleksandar Dzikic signed a two-year extension with the club.

Under Dzikic, Buducnost won the 2018 ABA League title for the first time in the history of the club by beating Serbian powerhouse Crvena Zvezda in the Finals. The Montenegrin club was thus granted entrance to the 2018-2019 EuroLeague as the new ABA League champion.

In the 2017-2018 EuroCup, Dzikic led Buducnost to the quarterfinals.

Throughout his career, Dzikic has also coached Partizan Belgrade, Union Olimpija, and Lietuvos Rytas, while also serving as an assistant with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2005-2007. Next season, the 49-year-old Serbian coach will make his EuroLeague return Buducnost.
