Alec Peters is the newest addition to CSKA Moscow’s team, and he had his first interview, for the team’s official website.
The 2017-2018 NBA season was not so successful for Peters, but in the G-League he showcased his skills and talent. According to him, he got more opportunities in the G-League: “I had more playing time in the G-League and had to adapt to a different style of play. The press can write anything; I can play at any level, be it the EuroLeague or the NBA.”
The 23-year old was also asked about his new teammates, and as he states, this is an opportunity to learn a lot from Sergio Rodriguez and Nando De Colo: “I cannot wait to play with Corey Higgins and Kyle Hines, and of course Rodriguez and De Colo. It is a great opportunity for me to learn a lot from them.”
Finally, he also talked about head coach Dimitris Itoudis and the conversation the two had: “Yes, we’ve spoken. The conversation was about the club as a whole, the team of the new season, but also my expectations from the European basketball. The main goal of the season is to be crowned EuroLeague champions but to also fight for the VTB League title. I liked our conversation, Dimitris is very active, it’s great.”
