Former CSKA Moscow head coach, Stanislav Eremin talked to ‘Izvestia‘ regarding the ‘Army Team,’ Dimitris Itoudis and the upcoming season.
Eremin stated that the Russian team always has great players: “The roster of CSKA is operating at very high level. The best players come to the team. Sometimes, however, mistakes are made.”
Besides, he also discussed Dimitris Itoudis as a head coach and what would a potential failure mean: “In the upcoming season, Itoudis will have to work with a super-team, which will compete for the first spot of the EuroLeague regular season standings. I don’t know if he will be forgiven after a possible failure this year.”
Finally, Eremin also added: “Itoudis is a very good coach. His strengths are that he works hard at the practices, has a correct tactical approach to the game, and is excellent in distributing player roles. However, he lacks some traits that Vladimir Petrovic had. Petrovic was able to make the right moves during the end of a tight game. Itoudis is more mathematical, and that’s his weakness.”
