The teams across Europe are gathering for the training camps in front of the upcoming season and Zalgiris‘ Aaron White is no exception.

Zalgiris is coming off a historic EuroLeague season but White notes the roster has changed significantly and they should go one step at a time without big pressure and with a clear goal:

“I don’t want to put too much pressure on ourselves. Obviously, last year was a great year but you have to view it separately, we have new guys. Our primary goal is to win the Lithuanian League and we want to compete for the playoffs in EuroLeague. That’s our mindset going into the year but it’s still early. It’s August and first, we can talk about putting the system in place, getting guys accustomed to who does what and what coach wants from all of us”

The 25-year-old split his summer between family and practice as he had a unique opportunity to work out with the Washington Wizards‘ John Wall and Markieff Morris which also helped him realize where he stands in comparison:

“It was a great experience. I realized I can play at that level for sure but I’m also excited to be back for the second year and to improve some things. Overall it was a good summer, good experience but I’m excited to be back”, White told Zalgiris TV.

Here is what Aaron White had to say about his exciting summer both fun and teamwise:
