Fenerbahce guard Tyler Ennis talked about joining the Turkish powerhouse, the first impressions he got from the supporters of his new team and his anticipation to step on the floor in order to present his game to the fans.
“I am very excited,” Ennis said to FB TV during his arrival in Istanbul, Turkey. “Before I came here, I had the chance to talk to people who played here. I heard a lot of positive things. I can’t wait to get used to being here, adapt, get organized and get on the court. I started to got messages from our fans before I signed my contract. That was a huge support for me in that process. I can’t wait to get on the court and show them what I got.”
Ennis signed a 1+1 contract with Fenerbahce in July, replacing current Boston Celtics player Brad Wanamaker. With the 2017 EuroLeague champion, the 26-year-old Canadian guard will debut in EuroLeague and BSL, following a four-year stint in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets and L.A. Lakers. He’s the second former NBAer who arrived in Fenerbahce this summer after French center Joffrey Lauvergne.
Dylan Ennis, Tyler’s brother, played in EuroLeague during the previous season with Serbian side Crvena Zvezda.
