Bayern Munich announced that forward Milan Macvan will be out for several months after sustaining a knee joint injury during a prep game. The player will be operated in the following days.
This is the second serious injury for Macvan this year following a season-ending cruciate ligament rupture the Serbian player had suffered in January.
“It will be difficult, but not impossible to come back. And I will fight for it,” Macvan said per Bayern Munich.
“He will receive all possible support from us so that ‘Maki’ can return to the court again,” Bayern GM Marko Pesic said.
Macvan signed with Bayern in 2017. He averaged 10.9 points in the German League before his injury.
