Khimki finished the Cyprus Tournament on a positive note by beating Panathinaikos 77-67 on Sunday. Both teams lacked many names that joined their respective national teams for the September FIBA qualifiers, though their clash was a good indicator of what’s to expect ahead of the following season
Anthony Gill scored 14 points for the Russian team, followed by Malcolm Thomas’ 12 points.
Keith Langford led Panathinaikos with 16 points, while Matt Lojeski contributed 15.
Earlier on the same tournament, AEK beat Maccabi in overtime and finished undefeated.
