After helping the Greek national team punch an early ticket to the 2019 World Cup, Fenerbahce guard Kostas Sloukas is eager to return to the training camp of the Turkish team.
“Waiting time is over. Back to my Fener family for year 4. So happy, proud and excited to be a small piece of the most successful team in Europe and as hungry as ever to win even more. Couldn’t ask for a better home to be and couldn’t ask for a better group of people to be together with and help me make my dreams come true. Let’s go Fener,” Sloukas wrote on his Instagram profile.
Sloukas was instrumental in Greece making the 2/2 with two wins over Serbia and Georgia in September’s Qualifiers. The 28-year-old combo guard averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6 assists to help his national team advance to the World Cup.
