Gran Canaria announced that the club will retire the #11 jersey of American center Greg Stewart in an official game of the team at the beginning of the season.
Stewart, who passed away last January at age 57, played with Gran Canaria from 1986 to 1992. He’s considered a legend for Gran Canaria and the team’s fans.
Apart from Gran Canaria, Stewart also played for various Spanish clubs such as Zaragoza, Joventut, and Granollers.
