CSKA Moscow improved to 2-0 in the “Zadar Basketball Tournament” after a 79-73 win against Bayern Munchen.
Although it seemed that CSKA will ultimately win without major trouble as they held a double-digit at halftime (46-35), Bayern showed a bigger effort after the break and even had a chance at winning.
The closest Bayern came to was 72-69 with two and a half minutes left but “Army Men” didn’t allow the German squad to go any further. They scored five straight points which were enough to secure the game in the end.
Kyle Hines scored 16 points with just one miss from the field while also adding five rebounds. Right behind him was Cory Higgins with 15 while Ivan Ukhov scored 12 points.
On the other side, Devin Booker tried to push Bayern with game-high 21 points but the only double-digit scorer beside him was Petteri Koponen with ten points who also dished six assists.
