Nick Calathes on Eurohoops: “I see me finishing my career at Panathinaikos”

Nick Calathes played for Panathinaikos before trying himself in the NBA with the Grizzlies and has also joined the ‘Greens’ after getting back to Europe.

His current stint with PAO has been going on for three seasons now and will continue for three more as the 29-year-old committed to the team with a new contract turning down some seemingly better offers from other clubs“I love it. Panathinaikos is like my family, I wouldn’t want to play anywhere else more than here and I’m glad to be back. It’s an honor to play for this club. They took at a young age and ever since I’ve loved it here.”

He is also at an age where one might already think about retirement and he would be honored if he could finish his career at Panathinaikos: “Yes, I see me finishing my career here. Let’s hope, you never know what’s going to happen in the future but I would like to be able to finish my career here for sure.”

Calathes also talked about his role in the team, why it’s so hard to record a triple-double in the EuroLeague unlike NBA, and was a part of Eurohoops’ funny Q&A quiz. Take a look:
