Khimki Moscow players will honor the late Tyler Honeycutt in the game against Olympiacos by wearing his jersey in the game’s presentation, as Izvestia reports.
“The players will come to the team presentation in the game against Olympiacos in jerseys with Honeycutt’s name”, Khimki GM Pavel Astakhov told the Russian media. “Tyler was an important part of the club, we wanted him to stay in Khimki for the upcoming season. The entire office and our fans loved him very much and even made a small memorial dedicated to the athlete. This is a great tragedy, and we can only once again offer condolences to his family and loved ones”.
Honeycutt, who tragically passed this summer, left behind a wave of sadness in the basketball world and especially to Khimki, where he spent the three seasons of his career.
