Khimki Moscow Region had a poor opening night in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, losing to Olympiacos Piraeus at home, but Alexey Shved’s performance was simply incredible.
The 29-year old guard filled up the stat sheet, as he scored 34 points (two points shy of his career-high) while making eight (!) three-pointers (8/16 3FG). Besides, he also handed out six assists and grabbed two rebounds. As for his points in the PIR system, Shved had 26, the most in the game.
What is amazingly special about his performance, is that he scored more than half of Khimki’s points. Shved scored 34, while Khimki as a team, scored 66.
