AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan got a statement win in Greece against Olympiacos Piraeus, as Mike James led the way.
In the final possession of the contest, the visitors were comfortably leading the way, but Mike James shot a three-pointer that put Milan up by 24 points. Olympiacos‘ guard Vangelis Mantzaris did not like the fact that Milan’s star did not hold on to the ball, and he got into it with him about it.
James took to Twitter to explain and clear the situation-misunderstanding: “I have all respect for Olympiacos and their fans. On the last play, I felt like I was fouled and was yelling about that, then I realized the game was over and it didn’t matter. I am a competitor and always compete but never want to make it seem like I’m bigger than anybody.”
