Maccabi Tel Aviv guard Scottie Wilbekin is doubtful for Thursday’s (25/10) game of his team against Olympiacos for Round 4 of the EuroLeague regular season, per Walla.
Wilbekin sustained a minor finger injury in Sunday’s practice. He missed the Winner League match vs. Hapoel Beer Seva and his status ahead of the match vs. Olympiacos is uncertain. So far in EuroLeague, Wilbekin is the leading scorer and passer for Maccabi with 20.7 points and six assists per game.
Maccabi guard Jeremy Pargo is still out but the “Yellows” will have guard Kendrick Ray back in action. Ray is expected to make his EuroLeague debut vs. Olympiacos.
However, Olympiacos‘ coach David Blatt believes that Wilbekin will play: “That depends on who you are listening. You know the famous saying from the Iliad. ‘Beware of Greeks bringing gifts'”.
