Zalgiris Kaunas prevailed over Buducnost in Podgorica with a 70-62 victory for Round 6 of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, in their first meeting since in the 2002-03 season.

It was a low-scoring battle from both sides, though Brandon Davies stepped up for the visiting side with 20 points (with 9/14 field goal), followed by Antanas Kavaliauskas who finished with 12 points in perfect field goal.

Despite the win, coach Jasikevicius wasn’t pleased with his team’s performance as he mentioned in his post-game quotes. “It was one of our worst games of the season. Credit to the guys for pulling it out, we showed character. But basketball-wise we were not very good, and we should not run away from that.”

Buducnost’s Alen Omic finished with a team-high of 16 points, though lacked further assistance in the second half when Zalgiris stepped up and got ahead in the score. Sarunas Jasikevicius’ squad bettered its overall performance in the final 20 minutes with Davies and Nate Wolters (10 p.) taking charge.

The Lithuanian team remains undefeated on the road and improved to a 3-3 record, while Buducnost sinks to the bottom of the standings with a 0-6 record.
