Maccabi Tel Aviv is already in the Canary Islands, getting ready for Friday’s Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game against Herbalife Gran Canaria, and Scottie Wilbekin is not pleased with the team’s court.
Wilbekin practiced on Thursday with Maccabi‘s team and as he describes on his latest tweet, the court is way too slippery for the players, thus dangerous, ahead of Friday’s showdown. His comments, come right after Anadolu Efes‘ head coach statements, to add to the fire.
Last week, when Gran Canaria hosted Anadolu Efes, Ergin Ataman; Efes‘ head coach, had also expressed his complaints on the slipperiness of the floor of “Gran Canaria Arena,” while he also stated that his guard, Shane Larkin got injured during the team’s practice.
Never played on a more slippery court than Gran Canaria.. players were slipping every possession in practice today @EuroLeague
