Buducnost VOLI was down by double-digits at halftime (49-35) but made a huge comeback and won 93-92 in a thriller finish against CSKA Moscow in Round 9 of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
CSKA was ahead 92-91 with 30 seconds left but Danilo Nikolic grabbed Edwin Jackson’s miss and put Buducnost ahead. Cory Higgins took the final shot for the Russian side but fell short.

Earl Clark led the charge with 18 points while Nemanja Gordic followed with 17 points and seven assists. Nikolic helped with 14 in addition to Coty Clark’s 12 points.
For CSKA, Nando De Colo notched 19 points and six assists for game-high 27 PIR while Will Clyburn added 15 points.
The ‘Army Men’ took off with an 11-0 start and it seemed as though this will be one of the easier tasks for CSKA. Buducnost managed to fight back and get closer by the end of the first quarter (21-17) but they couldn’t find an answer for an all-around De Colo who registered 18 PIR in twenty minutes, ‘cutting’ straight through hosts’ defense.

However, although CSKA managed to keep the distance midway through the third period (61-48), Gordic’s transition three-pointer sparked hosts’ comeback. They nailed three more shots from deep, found themselves back in the game (65-64) in front of the final ten minutes and prevailed in the thriller finish.
