Scottie Wilbekin was instrumental in Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv away win over his previous club, Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul. After Thurday’s EuroLeague Regular Season Round 11 game answered some Eurohoops questions’ both on his return and the Turkey National Team.
“It was nice to get back here. Things didn’t go as I planned or hoped, but in the end, the most important thing is that it was nice to be back” the 25-year-old guard mentioned.
He then added: “I love representing Turkey. You could see it on my blouse. I’m very happy and excited after qualifying to the World Cup. I believe we deserved it. We will now focus on our next target. Of course, our goal is to win”.
On the mustache he and his teammates grew, he said: “There isn’t any special meaning to it. We’re not going to take a shave it until we lose it again”.
