Darussafaka Tekfen has agreed to terms with Selcuk Ernak for the team’s vacant head coach position according to Eurohoops sources. The two sides have a deal until the end of 2019-2020 season.
Ernak, 48, is replacing coach Ahmet Caki who was sacked by Darussafaka a few days ago due to the team’s records in both EuroLeague (1-0) and Turkish League (3-5 at that point). Turkish national team head coach Ufuk Sarica was also one of the targets of the Turkish club.
With Darussafaka, Ernak will debut in EuroLeague. Throughout his career, the Turkish coach participated in EuroCup for two seasons (2014-2016) with Banvit.
