Barcelona head coach Svetislav Pesic praised the roster of Real Madrid ahead of the “El Clasico” battle between the two teams for Round 12 of the EuroLeague regular season, Thursday (13/12).
“They have players with quality to play in the NBA,” Pesic said per Mundo Deportivo.
Pesic analyzed how Barcelona should play against its archrival and defending EuroLeague champion. “It’s essential that they don’t make points in transition. We have to control the rebounds. It won’t be easy, but we have our game plan.”
Barcelona captain Ante Tomic mentioned that it’s going to be a “very difficult game,” and that his team should “maintain the concentration on defense and rebounding.”
Real Madrid is currently tied with CSKA Moscow at the second spot in the standings with a 9 – 2 record. Barcelona is 6-5 in a three-way tie with Olympiacos and Olimpia Milano at the fifth place.
