Even though AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan was trailing by double-digits (77-65) in Istanbul against Fenerbahce in the fourth quarter, Mike James never stopped trying, as he willed his team back to the game with his career-night. Eventually, the win did not come for the Italian team, but the former NBAer had the best game of his career in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague competition.
James exchanged a couple of clutch three-point shots with Fener’s Marko Guduric who also had an impressive showing, and eventually he capped off an incredible performance. The 28-year old star was in his bag, exploded as he scored 31 points (5/10 2FG) (3/3 FT), to go along with six (!) three-pointers (6/13 3FG). He also distributed Milan’s offense early on, finishing the contest with six assists and four rebounds.
As you can watch in the highlight reel video below, what’s impressive about James’ performance was his fourth-quarter explosion and his three-point crescendo.
