Real Madrid prevailed over Panathinaikos OPAP Athens with an 89-63 victory in Round 13 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
Real’s backcourt was highly efficient tonight, with Fabien Causeur as the leading scorer of the hosts with 14 points. Facu Campazzo followed with 13 points and five assists.
Panathinaikos‘ Keith Langford posted a 20-point performance, though the visitors couldn’t complete the comeback they attempted in the third period.
A key to the victory for Pablo Laso’s team was also rebounding, as they finished with 35 boards, in comparison to Panathinaikos’ 22.
The Spanish side improved to an 11-2 record in the standings and remains second behind Fenerbahce, while the Greens fell to 6-7.
This Friday, Real Madrid plays against Bayern Munich, while Panathinaikos hosts Olimpia Milano.
