Barcelona head coach Svetislav Pesic discussed how the different kind of reaction by fans of his team affect his players and, subsequently, the results of the Blaugrana.
“There are two different types of fans. Those who come to Palau Blaugrana to help the team from the first minute and others who wait. If we win against RealMadrid, they are all excited. If we don’t win they are all disappointed. This isn’t good for the players,” Pesic said per Mundo Deportivo.
“The new Barca needs a full house. Otherwise, the opponent feels very comfortable,” Pesic added. “If the arena is ready we send a message to our opponent that we aren’t alone and that the fans are ready to help us at difficult times. EuroLeague is very competitive and without the support of the fans throughout the whole game, we can’t win.”
Barcelona will face Anadolu Efes Thursday (27/12) in Palau Blaugrana. They are 7-7 while the Turkish team stands at 9 – 5.
