EuroLeague presented the Focus on: Nick Calathes. Panathinaikos’ guard talked about his team’s 2018-19 goals and the effort to return to the Final Four, but also went back to 2009 when he started his professional career in Greece with the Greens. Looking back he said that his then coach Zeljko Obradovic made him the player he is today.
“I wouldn’t want to play with any other team. This club is like my family. Ever since I came out of college, Obradovic helped me become the player I am today. He took my career to the next level. He really made me understand the European style of basketball, because I was a little kid coming over here thinking I was going to play right away. It didn’t happen” he said.
Keith Langford, Ioannis Papapetrou and James Gist were also featured in the Focus On video. They talked about their teammate mentioning that he elevates everyone around him, that he’s the leader and that he is a special player.
