Olimpia Milano guard Mike James tweeted about an incident he had with police in Milan Saturday (4/1), saying that officers stopped him and his friends because of racial profiling.
“Me and my friends were just profiled by the police. Smh it happens even in Europe,” James wrote. The American player then provided some details.
“Police stopped me and my two friends in the midst of 50 people walking. Got out of they car with guns in hand, talking about show me ID smh.I’m not reaching for s–t until you put your gun away.”
James added that the police had guns pointing at him and his friends.”They gon tell me to stay calm this is normal. Ain’t nothin normal about hopping out a car pointing guns at people.”
