Maccabi in Tel Aviv prevailed over second-to-last placed Buducnost (3-14) with an 81-76 victory in Round 17 of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

Scottie Wilbekin posted 15 points and two assists, while clutch Tarik Black finished the game with 12 points and seven boards.

The hosts struggled over a feisty Buducnost that was in control of the game for nearly 30 minutes, though they turned the tables of the game in the last period with a partial 22-16 score.

“[In the fourth quarter] we were more determined to find the best option to shoot. Our effort and willingness gave us the win, with good plays offensively and defensively”, commented Giannis Sfairopoulos in his post-game quotes.

With less than two minutes remaining, DeAndre Kane (11 p.) pushed the lead to +9 points for the Israeli team that managed to get away with its sixth victory of the season.

Norris Cole led the Podgorica side with 25 points, six rebounds, and two rebounds, in 30 minutes on the court. Despite his impressive performance over his former team, he wasn’t enough to hand the win to the visitors.
