Adreian Payne signed a contract with Panathinaikos until the end of the 2018-19 season per the Greens announcement. The 27-year-old American forward/center returned to the Greek club after his 2017-18 tenure.
The former Michigan State player is the second addition to Rick Pitino’s roster after Sean Kilpatrick. Last year, under Xavi Pascual, he averaged 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per EuroLeague game.
After leaving Panathinaikos, Payne traveled to China and started the 2018-19 season with 16.9 points and 8.6 rebounds per CBA match for the Nanjing Monkey Kings.
He’s also played in 107 NBA Regular Season matches, 99 with the Minnesota Timberwolves through the 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.
